March was a pretty busy month. We were continuing to work on the kitchen & here are a few not so wonderful things....first, I got a piece of dry wall in my eye (it is in the bottom towards my nose in the colored part of my eye in this picture). Darwin tried to get it out, but oh my gosh it hurt!! Had to go to prompt care to get it out, by the time I was seen, it had dissolved to tiny particles, they rinsed my eye and looked at it with the pretty light - very small abrasion, antibiotics and all was good.
On another day, I was painting the ceiling (which I really don't like) & this is what I looked like when I was done with that project!!
Amie cuddling her "Baby Kitty" (who is about 13 years old, but Amie still calls her that).
And poor abused Tiger, he looked so cute cuddled up with Amie's "Fu Panda".
March had more than we wanted to have of doctor appointments.

For my birthday Darwin got me some beautiful Hawaii Orchids!
And some yummy coffee!
Then it was Amie's birthday! She got a phone call from Aunt Janet and Kylee first thing in the morning!
Because her birthday fell during the week, we let her open a few presents that morning before school.
Her cupcake cake for school.
After school, we went to get her very first pedicure (they never let her get her feet in the water before, and just painted her nails). This time she got the whole ball of wax & was pretty happy about it!! :)

Brother Chris got Miss Amie another whoppie cushion - Oh Joy!
On the Christopher front.....Christopher got his own place!! Thank Goodness! Love that boy, but it was way past time for him to move out!! I got him a bunch of stuff for his new place!!
Early in March, Christopher did the annual Polar Plunge raising money for special olympics. His team dressed up as zombies.
And yes, if you wonder what that "moon" is in the lake.....it is Christopher's union card showing. Also notice the man with the camera bag right there....why yes, that is the local newspaper photographer that got a full shot of the full moon! He posted it on his facebook page, but then took it down within about an hour. Too bad, I didn't get to snag it first!
It wasn't as cold as it is some years, but it was pretty darn cold!

We definitely had some beautiful weather in March too though, Miss Amie got to go to the park a couple of times!
Kylee put Amie up there, she was super excited to be in the tree with Kylee!
Birthday party time! Amie was allowed to invite one little friend from school & the rest was mostly family.
Here you can see her and her "BFF" (yes she told me they are BFF's) Lillian and Kylee enjoying some Happy Joe's pizza!
Love, Love, Love this picture!

Time for cake!
Carly and Isabelle came with Aunt Tiara to celebrate!
Darwin's cousin Kim and her two little ones were there. This is Baby Lili! She's super sweet!
All the little ones! Isabelle, Carly, Amie, Lilly and Mr. TJ
Candle time!
The cake was made by one of my employees - it was super sweet!
Time for presents
Amie - time to close your eyes, we have a surprise!
Having such a hard time keeping her eyes closed!
She was telling me she knew she was getting a tinkerbell bike (I had her sit on it at Toys R Us a few weeks earlier to see if it was the right size....had hoped she would have forgotten!)
Playing with her new stuff at Grandma's

Just before Easter break there was an open house at the school. Amie and the other kindergarteners played musical instruments.

Easter Bunny visiting the hospital grounds! Dr. Ayers makes the best Easter Bunny ever!
She is telling me "I love these". (Darn it, they are my favorite - if she didn't like them, I could just confiscate them for myself!)
Knowing that open heart was just around the corner, we tried to do as much as we could during a month that highs and lows 50 degrees apart!
