Road trippin begins! First to Tacoma to pick up Patty!! There was a really cute tree with purple iris's growing in the center outside her house - very cute!
We stopped at a little place for breakfast before leaving Tacoma and heading down to Astoria and Seaside!
Even though it was quite cloudy & pretty windy and chilly (note the winter coat that Merry sported!) at Astoria; it was a very beautiful place to have a picnic lunch!
This is "The Column" at Astoria - it tells the story of Lewis and Clark.
We got a group picture of all of us - because of a sweet passer-by by the name of Megan!

Next stop - Seaside!! The "Florida" of the Pacific North West!
We stopped at several cute stores while we were there, including a hat shop for our pictures the next day -- not thinking the penguin hat is gonna make it in the group pictures.....Just sayin'!
Sally got Amie some Bubble Gum ice cream!!
And bought Amie this cute hat - that she wanted to wear everywhere!! And took her on the carousel!!
Walking down the street of shops, you eventually come to an opening at the end of the road....that is where the beach is!
Amie is not wasting any time! Beach, Sand, Swings --- what could get any better??!!
The caption on the next picture should read something like......"Are you sure Amie isn't biologically ours?? She has the same 'union card' that her daddy and brothers have!!"
What a messy girl!!
That's what could make it a perfect afternoon!! Swimming after all of the above!!!
